Are you concerned with frizzy hair? Is your hair getting to the point where it is out of control? If this is the case, then you will want to read the article below for some excellent tips, on getting the frizz out of your hair. Continue on to learn about ways you can do that.

If you happen to suffer from a flaky scalp, try using this treatment bi-weekly: Start sectioning your hair and do a gentle rubbing on your scalp using a rubbing alcohol-saturated cotton pad. Once the alcohol dries, start brushing your hair. Finish with a thorough rinse using warm water, and be sure not to shampoo.

When washing your hair, you should start by rinsing it with water to get most of the impurities out. Then, gently massage the shampoo into your scalp and in the hair. Take your time and make sure all your hair is covered with shampoo. Rinse until all the shampoo is gone.

When shampooing, rinse hair prior to applying the shampoo to get any residue out, then begin applying shampoo onto the scalp. Start gently massaging using your fingertips, working your way out. To avoid dry hair, just lather up once. When you're finished, thoroughly rinse out the shampoo. Shampoo residue can dry out hair or make it itchy.

As tempting as it may be to quickly dry your hair by rubbing it with a towel, do not do it. You should allow your hair to dry in a towel on your head for a while and then gently blot your hair with a towel until it is dry. Rubbing with the towel will cause knots that will lead to breakage.

Use proper hair drying techniques to avoid damaging your hair. Towel dry before using a blow dryer to minimize the amount of time you use the machine. Don't allow the hair dryer to sit in one spot for longer than a few seconds. Use the dryer on one of the lowest settings.

In order to keep your hair healthy and looking its best, try cutting back on the amount of blow drying you do. No matter how carefully you go about it, blow drying your hair will cause some damage to it. Giving your hair a break from frequent styling can help it recuperate and return to its full, natural potential.

Drink more water! Your hair needs water to thrive especially during the winter months. Increasing your water intake will help no matter what your hair type is. Start carrying a bottle with you and make sure that you are going through at least a few bottles every day. Your hair will thank you.
